Assessment of ground stability in the Ubja region subject to underground mining

The aim of the project is to carry out a study in the oil shale mining area of Ubja village in Rakvere Rural Municipality, Lääne-Viru County, to assess the stability of the mine passages and the ground surface. The thickness of the overburden there is small, the risk of collapsing is high, and the area is largely located on managed farmland.
The project is performed from May 2022 to February 2023.
